Open Status
To allow for the changeable weather patterns, the times of opening are posted on the web site on the day in question. Please look at the website on the day after 09.00hrs & the running details for the day we will displayed in the drop down box. If you loose the drop-down box, then hover over the "Home" button & you should get a sub menu with "Open" as an option, click on there & the day's times of opening will display.
New for the Kiosk
Just arrived for sale are our own range of items with the Boris log. There are children's T shirts (3 sizes covering the ages 3 - 8 years old), Children's sun hats ( yes we will have sun, I saw it only the other day), Mugs, Key rings & Fridge Magnets. All reasonably priced and of top quality. Our professional models are seen below with the 3 sizes of T shirts available:

Flooding
Flooding does not normally prevent the train from running even if the driver does get his feet wet when preparing the train in a flooded engine shed. So if it's sunny but been a torrent over the previous few days, fear not just put your wellies and have a splash in the park. Lots of new ponds, lakes to choose from.
New Locomotive Project
For some time we have been considering having a second locomotive to back up Boris. As time goes on there will be maintenance issues that take longer to complete so in order to remove the risk of sleepless nights the "New Loco" project was given the go-ahead. After a number of attempts of looking at various second-hand locomotives of various sizes & vintages & questionable haulage capacity, we have decided to build our own locomotive. The new locomotive will unlike Boris, be a diesel outline locomotive, with motor bogies (similar to the bogies under the carriages) which will be driven by batteries with an on-board diesel generator. It will have a cab at each end which will enable us to change the direction of running if we wish. The contract for the two motor bogies has been agreed and hopefully these will be completed sometime after Easter. The rest of the bodywork will be built locally & assembled over the summer months. What will it look like?? - secret just it case we get it wrong - then no-one will be any the wiser!!
